Damak Camp
Jhapa district is located in Province 1 of Eastern Development Region of Nepal. The total area of the district is 1,606 km2. The current population is 647,492 and the average population density is around 400 people per square km. Birtamod is a head quarter of the district. It is the gateway to India for the eastern region of Nepal.
NFCC conducted two days screening Camp in Jhapa District. The camp was carried out in Damak municipality in April 2013 by NFCC in conjunction with Nari Sanshaktikaran, Jhapa. 701 women were screened for the HR- HPV. All the HPV positive cases are referred for VIA test in Ghopa hospital, Dharan. There has been continuity in the clients follow up both by the NFCC field worker and phone call.
