Solukhumbu District is located in Sagarmatha Zone in the Eastern Development Region of Nepal. The district is known for Mount Everest, which resides in the northern part of the district. Solukhumbhu, with Salleri as its headquarters, covers an area of 3,312 kmĀ² and has a population of 105,886. The district consists of the sub-regions Solu and Khumbu. There are 35 Village Development Committees (VDCs) in Solukhumbu district.

NFCC conducted the cervical cancer screening health camps in Lukla, Bung and Kunde of Solukhumbu district with the support provided from Pasang Lhamu Nicole Niquille Foundation in 2017. It was two days camp in each area. 492 numbers of women age between 30 to 60 years of age group. The women were screened on VIA and HPV method. There were 21 VIA positive, 15 were treated by Cryothrapy and 11 were HPV positive.
